Every time I pick up my camera, my goal is to capture moments honestly. I choose not to tidy up first, or make everything look perfect. I am well aware that on the surface, not everything looks beautiful to everyone. But to me, when moments are captured authentically, and time is frozen, the image is beautiful. Despite the mess, chaos, nose picking, etc. in these images, to me, they are a very honest look into our everyday lives. We play... messy. We have friends over and create more messes, all the while making beautiful memories. And although large messes REALLY stress me out, I will look back at these photos and recognize just how beautiful our messy life truly was.
I LOVE photographing this family! Everything about them is so visually pleasing, that it was quite a difficult process to narrow down my favorites. But I tried :) Amy, thank you for allowing me to capture your stunning family on the beach in Marblehead!
I met Lori and her beautiful family a couple of years ago at the beach here in Marblehead. Our boys ran around and played in the ocean while we chatted. At the time, we had just moved here, and were trying to figure out if we would stay. Fast forward 2.5 years, our children are in school, and we have a great community. We hope to never leave Marblehead! My friendship with Lori was one of the first glimmers of hope that we could make a life here. We had a great time running around Crocker Park, capturing these two cuties with their parents. Yay for Fall!
